Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley stands for THE “American Way of life”. The trucker became a millionaire, and the whole world lay at his feet. Apparently this will never change. With “Heartbreak Hotel” he had his first number one hit in the American charts in April 1956. He repeated this success 16 times, and was at the top of the billboard charts for 79 weeks. Elvis earned his title “King of Rock’N’Roll”, even though his repertoire included “Country”, “Gospel” or “Crooner-songs” like “Frank Sinatra” or “Dean Martin”. Besides his career as a singer Elvis acted in 31 movies between 1956 and 1969. Movies like „Love me tender“, „G.I. Blues“, „Flaming Star“, „Blue Hawaii“, „Kid Galahad“, „Acapulco“, „Viva Las Vegas“ and „Speedway“ are counting to his masterpieces. The „King” died on August 16th, 1977. Ginger Alden found his dead body in a bathroom in Graceland. The official cause was a heart fai- lure first, but soon the real cause, a drug abuse, had been published. His daughter Lisa-Marie Presley was married to Michael Jackson in 94 and 95. Lisa-Marie’s mother was Priscilla Ann Wagner, alias Priscilla Beaulieu Presley.
