Frank Zappa
The beginning of Frank Zappa’s career started already in 1951, when he made his first appea- rance as a drummer in a school band. 4 years later he played the guitar and wrote classic titles for an orchestra. After graduating from High School in the 1958, Frank took lessons in harmony and composition, and learned to play the Vibraphone, Organ and Piano. Short- ly after that, he earned his money by playing the piano in a bar and writing music for mo- vies like „Run home slow “and “The World greatest sinner“. At end of the 50’s Frank be- came a member of the band “Blackouts”. In 1964 he played with the “Soul Giants”, which changed their name into “Muthers” and then “Mothers”. Since the beginning, Frank’s mu- sic was a bit special, and only once he made it into the Top-20, with the song “Bobby Brown” in the year 1980. Some of his best al- bums were “Hot Rats”, „Apostrophe“and of cause „Sheik Yerbouti“. He was also politi- cally active, and announced in an interview in 1991 that he wanted to candidate for the next Presidential elections in the USA. Due to prostate cancer it did not happen. He died on December 1993. He was elected to the “Rock And Roll Hall of Fame” in 1995.
