Ronald Belford was the real name of the le- gendary AC/DC singer Bon Scott. With his marking rough voice he recorded albums like „High Voltage“, „Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap“, „Let There Be Rock“, „Powerage“ or „Highway To Hell“ with the Hard-Rock-Band from Down Under. Most popular songs from this albums are titles like: „T.N.T“, „The Jack“, „Whole Lotta Rosie“ and of cause „Highway To Hell“. Bon Scott was born in Scotland, and used to play already in his father’s group “Pipe Band”. In 1952 the family moved to Australia. With 15 he left school and became a member of the band “The Spektors”. In 1967 he changed to “the Valentines” and recorded his first single called “Everyday I have to cry”. Due to this song they became famous in Australia, but drug problems ended their career. Bon Scott played with different bands before being the front man and singer of AC/ DC in 1974. Bon Scott died on the backseat of his friend Alistair Kennar’s “R5”, on Februa- ry 19th, 1980 aged only 33. The official cause was alcohol, as they were cruising all night and drank a lot. As Allistair couldn’t wake up his friend he left him sleeping in his car. It seems that he choked on vomit. By the way, his nickname was due to the Scottish folk song “Bonnie Scotland”.
