With Barry White, one of the biggest soul- stars left on July 4th, 2003. His death did not come sudden; he was hospitalized since May, due to a heart attack. Barry White was also called “Mister Love”, because they believed that every third child in the US was conceived to his music during the 70’s. This was due to his quiet, marking bass-voice. During his long career Barry White sold more than 100 million records, and was rewarded with 100 Golden records. For his last album called “Staying Power” he received 2 Grammys in the year 2000. The most important titles of the Texan were “Can’t get enough”, Just another Way to say I love you”, “Let the Music play”, “The Man is back” and of cause “Staying Power”. Another project in Barry White’s career were the “Love Unlimited Orchestra”, he founded, produced and conducted himself. They pre- sented their first album in 1974 with “Rhap- sody in White” including the popular instru- mental song “Love’s Theme”. In 2004 Barry White was elected to the “Dance Music Hall of Fame” posthumously, and in September he also got a star on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame”.
